CALL FOR GALLERY WORK
Exhibit items as well as donations to Auction and Iron in the Hat
New York State Designer Blacksmiths, together with neighboring state
affiliates (PABA, WRABA, OABA and Oil Valley Smiths), are inviting work to be exhibited
in the Gallery at the 2008 Great Lakes International IronFest during the Memorial Day
weekend May 23, 24 and 25th, 2008, at the Worthington Business Center, Buffalo NY.
Work should be brought with you to the conference and an Artist Submission Form
completed for every item. We have a very limited facility to receive shipped or mailed materials.
If you must send an item to the conference, you must make prior arrangements with Bob
Corneck to be sure that there is someone on the site to receive the shipment.
Items for the Auction must be registered by noon Saturday 24th.
Items for the Gallery may be picked up after noon Sunday May 25th.
The only size or weight limitations are that the item must be able to be handled by two
people (that is you + 1).
Any advance information about what you are submitting for the gallery would help us to plan
for set up. Any sketches or pictures will only be used for organizing the set-up and not
for publicity. Information can be mailed or emailed (discs accepted) to Bob Corneck. 10930
Keller Road, Clarence NY 14031 bcorneck@roadrunner.com
Private sale of pieces is permitted either from the gallery or through the auction. (30% will
be contributed to NYSDB) Exhibited items may be donated to the Auction/Iron in the Hat. Because
we are limited to the number of auctioned items, selection will be at the discretion of
the conference organizers. Any auction 'reserve price' should be clearly noted on the Artist Submission Form form.
