he will then move to modern equipment (gas forge and power hammer,)
to produce historically correct reproductions.

Andrew R Chambers Jr. (Andy) - Arc Iron Creations
We are fortunate to have Andy step in to replace Deke Wedow who has had to
withdraw for health reasons.
Andy's intuitive skill in marrying design with mass and texture sets his
work apart. His demonstration will center on his design process in
developing a decorative lamp. Andy plans to complete the lamp during the
demonstration. The lamp shows off a variety of textures as well as the use
of aluminum bronze and includes a large floral element.
Andy will work both with power and hand hammers.
Andy is receiving national attention through his contribution
to the Visitors Center for the Capitol Building in Washington DC, where his
bronze gate will hang at the front of the Lincoln catafalque (see The Anvil's Ring
vol.36 #1 fall 2007 page 48-50).
New York State Designer Blacksmiths has developed a reputation for bringing
fresh demonstrators to the attention of the conference attending public. We
are proud that Andy is our 2008 contribution.
